New Light Therapy Center is a collective of independent practitioners, each setting their own rates and services. Health coaching and Healing Touch support people when dealing with challenges in health, or when wanting to initiate changes in health. Both practices are based on cultivating deep presence and creating sacred space in which clients see their wholeness, and the path ahead. Health coaching is a dynamic, one-to-one, interactive process that begins with the clients intention, honoring that intention as an expression of the clients path toward wholeness. Using tools such as deep listening, curious inquiry, drawing, journaling, guided imagery and more, Betsy helps clients move toward their intention. Informed by the knowledge of many healing traditions she makes suggestions or referrals to other practitioners when appropriate. People who benefit from health coaching include those diagnosed with a life-altering condition, those dissatisfied with their approach to a chronic condition, those experiencing change that they dont feel prepared to deal with, or those who are ready to change and move forward. Seeking clarity about their goals, and the path ahead, they choose to work with a skilled, trusted person to facilitate their process. They may want help to recognize obstacles that are holding them back, or to discover internal and external resources. Healing Touch is a relaxing, nurturing energy therapy. It is usually done with the client lying on a massage table, fully clothed. Healing Touch works with the energy field to support clients natural ability to heal. Gentle touch assists in balancing physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being. It is safe for all ages. Healing Touch is beneficial after a physical injury, when in chronic pain, when dealing with side effects of medical therapy, or at any time when subtle support and clearing would be beneficial. Clients often experience a sense of deep relaxation, a relief from pain or worry, and a deeper sense of peacefulness. In addition, Healing Touch may help one prepare for and recovery from surgery, and can be done in the hospital. Betsy integrates dynamic skills of health coaching and compassionate hands of Healing Touch with 25 years of personal and professional growth in healthcare, social change and human development. She recently completed the Health Coaching program, and received a graduate certificate in Complementary Therapies and Healing Practices, from the Center for Spirituality and Healing at the University of Minnesota. She has completed Level II training in Healing Touch. She is a board certified nurse practitioner in family and womens health; with a masters in nursing from the University of California at San Francisco. Commitment to her own growth and transformation leads her to continuously explore new modalities, and strengthen her capacity to be of use to her clients.
